Starlite San Diego offers hand-made cuisine that utilizes the year-round abundant produce available in our temperate climate. We use the freshest ingredients we can find locally in Southern California. As a result, our menu changes frequently to accommodate the seasonality of local products.
Our Executive Chef Amanda Michels believes in “slow food” — natural, local, and sustainably sourced as much as possible.
Our mission is and always has been to use as many local and/or organic fruits and veggies as possible. This means 90% of the produce we buy comes from your neighbors! We also try to use as much sensibly raised and/or harvested proteins as we can. This means about 60% of the animal-based products (meat, dairy, egg and seafood) served here come from businesses that don’t engage in typical factory farming methods or are harvested from sustainable sources.
